The cost of household insurance is continuing to rise as insurers hike premiums following last summer's floods. Average premiums for home buildings cover rose by 1.4% during the final three months of 2007 to £218.60 a year, the AA said. The latest rise follows a 3% hike during the third-quarter of 2007, the largest increase since the group first began monitoring premiums.
